Tabling at SUBMERGE and visiting Washington DC!
Killer Snails had an exciting presence at Hudson River Park's SUBMERGE Marine Science Festival, a dynamic event dedicated to marine science and conservation! This year's festival, held on Saturday, September 28th, offered a perfect platform for Killer Snails to engage with the community and inspire a new generation of marine scientists.
At our table, attendees explored interactive exhibits showcasing our latest educational games that immerse students in the roles of scientists. Our flagship game, WaterWays, was a highlight, allowing visitors to experience its innovative approach to teaching water stewardship and environmental health. Participants learned about the environmental challenges facing marine ecosystems and discovered how they can contribute to sustainable solutions.
The festival provided an excellent opportunity for hands-on learning and sparking curiosity about marine science. We were thrilled to connect with educators, students, and science enthusiasts, sharing our passion for making science education engaging and impactful!
Also in May, Killer Snails participated in the Ed Tech advocacy day where we had the opportunity to visit the capital, meet with our representatives and discuss edtech funding, cybersecurity, and social media impact!
