Chief Scientist Mandë Holford’s TED Talk!

We were incredibly excited for our chief scientist, Dr. Mandë Holford, to give an outstanding talk on venom for TED!

As fans of Killer Snails know, venom can kill ... or it can cure. In this fascinating talk, marine chemical biologist Mandë Holford shares her research into animal venom, from killer sea snails to platypuses and slow lorises -- and explores its potential to one day treat human diseases like cancer. The mechanism behind this powerful substance is still mysterious, Holford says, but: "Someday, snail venom might just save your life."

Dr. Holford's work has always been the inspiration for the Killer Snails company and we are so thrilled that a much wider audience will have the opportunity to learn about her work as well!
